The Science of Bread Making

Yesterday Rakiura made bread as part of our science work. We followed a traditional European bread recipe and next week we will try a more Egyptian recipe to link into our inquiry unit (on Ancient Egypt).
All the children worked very hard, kneading their bread and then shaping it into something beautiful. We had traditional bread rolls, braids and even a snail!
